Numismatist.in is an attempt on part of a coin collector based in Mumbai, India to document all the coins of India (ancient, medieval, colonial and modern). It is a humongous task but I am committed to the process. This site is also an attempt on my part to write articles about various aspects of coin collection and coin study. It is often said that coin collection was the hobby of the kings. However in the recent past, many people have been attracted to coin collection as a hobby. It is often said that coin collection is probably the only hobby where even after spending money on it, you are left with some money 🙂

I have the 1971 and 1972 India proof sets. The 1971 set’s outer box is not in perfect condition (ribbons coming off etc) but the coins are in excellent condition sealed in plastic case originally from the mint. Never opened.
